Our Team

 

Our clinic is located in central Coquitlam, B.C, and is conveniently in a building that has a pharmacy, imaging clinic, and a Lifelabs for patients to easily access. We operate by appointment-only, and offer some same-day appointments for urgent concerns. The team consists of an office manager, medical office assistants, family doctors, and nurse practitioners who work with a nurse.

Dr. Patricia Gabriel

Dr. Patricia Gabriel graduated from the University of British Columbia and completed her residency at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Dr. Gabriel has been practicing at Meadowbrook Family Practice since 2010. After graduation, she completed a Masters of Health Science with a focus on refugee health. Dr. Gabriel continues to conduct research. She worked for five years with the SPH-IMG Family Practice Residency program where she was responsible for the Evidence-Based Medicine and Scholarship program. Her medical career has also consisted of intrapartum maternity care at RCH.
Dr. Gabriel continues to stay active in teaching family practice residents.

Dr. Christine Sorial

Dr. Christine Sorial completed medical school and her family practice residency at the University of British Columbia. She then locumed in the community for nine months before joining Meadowbrook Family Practice in 2017. She is the physician lead for Shared Care Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use initiative that focuses on aiding this vulnerable population. She also works at the Tri-Cities Youth Clinic. Dr. Sorial has high involvement in the Tri-Cities communities and she is actively involved in the Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice.

Dr. Katrina Low

Dr. Katrina Low completed medical school at the University of British Columbia and her residency at the University of Calgary. She did an additional low risk obstetrics enhanced skills residency at the University of Calgary. Once she graduated, she covered rural locums for three years in Southern Alberta. Dr. Low has done urban family practice and low risk obstetrics locums for several years upon moving to B.C in 2018. She joined Meadowbrook Family Practice in January 2019. Dr. Low is part of the Primary Care Obstetrics Clinic with Dr. Gabriel and Dr. Ross.

 

Dr. Svetlana Skobkareva

Dr. Svetlana Skobkareva graduated from the UBC St Paul's Hospital residency program in 2015. She practiced rural family medicine in Powell River for several years before returning back to the city. She was invited to join the team at Meadowbrook in 2021 and has now taken over Dr. Cowie’s practice which she shares with Dr. Katrina Low. Despite the challenges family medicine is going through, she enjoys comprehensive primary care including maternity care that she provides at Surrey Memorial Hospital. She is a tennis enthusiast and enjoys the beautiful outdoors of Port Moody where she lives with her husband and 2 daughters.

Dr. cindy roper

Dr. Roper completed her medical degree at  University of British Columbia Medical School She did her  postgraduate residency training in  family medicine at McMaster university’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine in Ontario. She is currently a Clinical Instructor for UBC Medical School. 

 
 

Nurse Practioners

What is a nurse practioner?

Daniella Stewart, NP

Daniella Stewart completed her master's degree as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Saskatchewan. Previously, as a registered nurse, she worked in emergency, cardiology, and psychiatry. She also travelled to remote communities to provide health care where there are gaps and hopes to continue to do so in her new role. Daniella has a passion for teaching patients about their health and supporting them in taking their health into their own hands. When not in clinic, Daniella is an avid hiker, baker, and the owner of a beautiful golden retriever named Walnut.



Jennifer Bramley, NP

Jennifer Bramley completed her master's degree as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Saskatchewan. Previously, Jennifer worked as a dual-trained registered nurse/registered psychiatric nurse in emergency, pediatrics, psychiatry and long-term care. Jennifer loves to travel and has volunteered overseas as a nurse in Bali and the Phillippines. Outside of work, Jennifer likes to spend time outdoors and enjoys cooking. Jennifer's practice is focused on providing compassionate and family-centred care across all ages.

 

Locum Family Doctors and After Hours Clinic

 

Dr. Kathleen Ross

Dr. Kathleen Ross completed medical school at the University of British Columbia and her internship at Royal Columbian Hospital. Since 1993, she has done full-time and full-service family practice in Coquitlam with obstetrics. In 1995, she started assisting in cardiovascular surgeries at Royal Columbian Hospital and she continues to work in all aspects of care because of her avid interest in everything primary care. She joined Meadowbrook Family Practice in 1993 and over the last five years, Dr. Ross has been participating in medical outreach and education in Peru and Africa. In 2010, Dr. Ross was a founding member and Chair of the Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice. She has also participated in Shared Care, NP4BC, GP4Me, and the development and distribution of Pathways across B.C. Dr. Ross has served in many leadership roles as President of the RCH/ERH Medical Staff Association and President of the Doctors of B.C. Continuing her dedication to high quality primary care, Dr. Ross will continue to participate in system re-design and primary care transformation.

Dr. Anne Brumwell

Dr. Anne Brumwell completed medical school at the University of British Columbia and internship at Royal Columbian Hospital. After doing locums in the practice since 1990, she officially joined as an associate in 1993. Dr. Brumwell provided longitudinal care to patients for almost 30 years. As a Clinical Instructor at the UBC Department of Family Practice, she has mentored medical students, residents and new doctors. Though she retired from her practice in 2019, she continues to work as locum for all of the doctors at Meadowbrook.

Dr. Sanja Vukicevic

Dr. Sanja Vukicevic completed medical school and family practice residency at the University of British Columbia. Since completing residency in 2017, Dr. Vukicevic has been working as a locum physician in the Tri-Cities and in Abbotsford, at the Abbotsford Youth Health Center, and as a hospitalist physician. She enjoys her time here at Meadowbrook Family Practice where she works as a locum and an after-hours doctor. Dr. Vukicevic is a director on the board of the Abbotsford Division of Family Practice, where she is involved in various leadership roles pertaining to primary care and physician support. She is particularly interested in innovative ways of mending the gaps in our primary care system.
